Session Four

Events:

Apo 30-

The battle of Rancor! The team tore through the orcs one by one as Caelen knocked out Kurdan. After the battle Algor got dark and began to torture Kurdan, not for information, but for sadistic pleasure. Zane stopped him and reminded him that he fought for love not hatred, then took Kurdan’s crown. Algor and Zane walked away to have a moment alone as Katrina claimed a tusk for Vethra and Caelen and Shadoe drug Kurdan into his tent for questioning. Later Caelen called out saying that Kurdan had bit down on something before seizing and dying. Algor took Kurdans body and made a funeral pyre, an act of kindness for the man who destroyed his life. Shadoe claimed kurdan’s head and Zane prayed with Algor by the pyre.

Maeo 21-

While traveling to King’s Cavern, Algor and Zane realized that everyone else was orphans, Caelen and vethra compared books, and Caelen killed two of Vethra’s spider’s

Juno 5-

The team arrives at Kings Cavern where Algor convinces the guard captain to allow them in. They are all cuffed and chained as they are brought to meet with the King and his Council.

Vethra introduced them as “Vethra and The Others” with a song so amazing that it enraptured the king. Meanwhile the queen was interested in Zane. They learned of the Crimson Cane and its terrifying power as well as the how integral it was to the history of King’s Cavern.

Juno 14-

The team arrived at The Great Forge where they found survivors of Carron. Algor was reunited with Hesta and the people rejoiced. There was an amazing celebration and feast where Zane finally made Nana’s Bread Pudding. As the celebration continued an elderly dwarven man walked past Shadoe saying “You’re so much like your father”, but when she turned around there was no trace of the man.

The Vibes:

Zane-

He has done what he set out to do. He brought a family back together and did good in the world, but most importantly, he saved a man from himself and showed him the strength of love just like he promised.

Vethra-

Seeing her actions make a difference and helping reunite a father with his daughter was quite moving for Vethra. She’s happy knowing she could make a family whole again.

Katrina-

She came for a job, but found so much more. She has her moments of doubt and she doesn’t yet trust everyone fully, but she can already see that this mission is unlike any hunt she has accepted before. There is more than blood and money here, there is love and light. She was so happy to see the children look at her with awe rather than fear or judgement that are more common for Lycari in other parts of Valoria.

Shadoe-

In the beginning she was afraid these people would get her killed, but now… maybe this team isn’t so bad. Maybe these people are worth caring for. She remains stoic, but her heart may be changing more than she cares to admit. But her moment of reflection was interrupted when a mysterious man reminded her that there is so much she doesn’t know about herself…

Caelen-

His actions have led to joy and peace and love. He has traveled and fought and learned so much along side these people… but he is different. He feels broken. Part of him wants to care about this team. But he knows he must focus on the mission at hand.
